wait on me – jeremy parks

The verdict

“jeremy parks finds the beauty in standing still, turning patience into a deeply moving folk meditation”

'wait on me' strips everything back to voice and acoustic guitar, then asks you to sit with what remains. the song is about feeling behind, watching others race ahead while you're still figuring out where the path even is. we know the feeling mate. and parks doesn't dress that up or offer easy comfort; he just lets the feeling breathe. intimate and delivered beautifully; it's atmospheric folk with a real emotional weight. a lovely, affecting single.

friend of the blog jeremy parks is an atlanta-based singer-songwriter, back with us again after 'allison' last month. he wrote, produced and performed on this one, with niel brooks handling mix and mastering as well as bass, and dillon napier on drums. the whole thing came together in just a couple of days, which only makes the emotional depth more impressive. parks has a way of making vulnerability sound natural rather than forced, and that honesty runs through everything here. fantastic stuff.

thank u for making this jeremy parks 🍂
