feel it all – coffey

The verdict

“coffey's 'feel it all' turns grief and healing into a gorgeous, propulsive synth-pop anthem”

'feel it all' opens with momentum-filled synths that push forward like an urgent heartbeat, building into a hook that's equal parts euphoric and raw. it's a bit like a robyn banger; all kinetic energy with intimate storytelling, coffey's vocals threading through a driving bridge that refuses to let go. lyrically, it's about waking up from emotional numbness, the kind that follows profound loss, and choosing to feel everything again, even when it hurts. the chorus lands somewhere between a release and a declaration, a line you want to shout through a sunroof. it's a powerful, synth pop stunner.

coffey is a los angeles-born chinese-american singer-songwriter who left berklee college of music to care for her father during his final months in hospice. after he passed from cancer, she adopted her artist name as a dedication to him. his last letter promised he'd be with her wherever she plays. at twenty-one, navigating grief, she took an unplugged road trip across western australia with her boyfriend, who documented it on super 8 film. this one is great, and i'd expect to hear a lot more from her.

thank u for making this coffey 🌅
