'feel' is a high-energy alternative rock single that wears its smashing pumpkins influence proudly and well. the production, handled by sam graves (who co-produced asking alexandria's the black), goes for big room sound, giving every riff the sonic space to land with weight. lyrically it's exploring how two people can live through the same relationship and come out with completely different stories, that specific ache of being close to someone and still missing each other entirely. the mix and master by joe graves keeps it polished without sanding off the edges, and the cinematic video, shot on a former wwii airfield in yorkshire with a 1970s oldsmobile delta 88, gives it all a visual world to match. it's a bold, guitar-driven stunner and i'm not sure you'll hear a better rock single this month .
rosso tierney is a york, england based solo artist and multi-instrumentalist, playing piano, guitar, bass and vocals. he came up through punk bands, touring the uk and europe, and currently fronts sema 4, a late 70s punk outfit on detour records. his solo work draws on bowie, the struts and spacehog, shaping something between modern glam and art rock. his writing explores men's mental health, neurodiversity, and healing through spirituality. 'feel' is his fifth single with sam graves, and guess what? it's working. a banger.

'our little pooh pea (the last light) 4 - cinematic' started life as a guitar solo played over another c'batch composition entirely. rather than leave it buried, he pulled the performance out of its original setting and rebuilt everything around it: new production, new atmosphere, a whole different emotional story. the guitar becomes the lead voice here, moving through electronic textures and ambient washes that feel filmic and unhurried. there's space in the arrangement, lovely chords, and a sense of room for the listener to project their own narrative onto what's happening. the title points toward that threshold moment between darkness and hope, and the music earns it without spelling anything out. it's a rich, patient and striking piece of work.
only a few days after 'next time (i won't be falling/you've got me falling)', friend of the blog c'batch is back. stephen h. cumberbatch is a composer, producer and guitarist from white plains, new york, with roots stretching back to the city's early-80s dance scene. his publishing credits include 'i need you now' by sinnamon and 'let me do you' featuring will downing. in 2026 he opened his archives with the vault, a multi-volume series spanning decades of unreleased material. there's depth here, and we're very keen to hear more.
