wonderfully warm indie textures today, with a pinch of reflective songwriting too. we’re moving between hazy folk arrangements, late-night alt-rock and understated emotional detail. bangers the lot of em’.
lead balloon – zak coghlan
zak coghlan pushes soaring indie rock into sharper and more emotionally direct territory
lead balloon builds from driving drums, blurred guitar textures and the edge style guitar flourishes into quite simply, an absolutely huge indie rock release, with zak coghlan’s vocal as the genuine standout at the heart of it, carrying real urgency through the centre of the track. it’s a driving tune, and sounds great with the windows down on a sunset drive.
zak coghlan is a dublin songwriter now based in london, stepping into his solo era after fronting alt-rock outfit sunburn. the single feels bigger and more personal at the same time, balancing irish storytelling instincts with a widescreen indie sound. its really fantastic, and we’ll be watching zak very closely.
thank u for making this zak coghlan 🖤
i want you – finlay birch
finlay birch delivers a beautifully restrained indie folk reflection filled with fire-side warmth
i want you moves through soft acoustic layers and tastefully spacious production with a lovely, calm emotional pull. it allow every line to land nice and softly, without overcomplicating the arrangement, while brooding vocal harmonies hint at something slightly darker. lyrics like ‘easier times keep me astray‘ keep me hitting replay, as i’m getting closer to the narrative.
finlay birch is based on the isle of mull, shaping a sound that blends indie, folk and soft rock influences into something deeply reflective. there’s bags of character in this, and it’s taken from his forthcoming debut album ‘weight will unwind’, capturing a more grounded perspective on love and independence. we’ll be digging into the album as soon as it’s out, cos this single is great.
thank u for making this finlay birch 🌙
north star – santi forget
santi forget captures toronto nostalgia with an effortlessly cool indie-soul stunner
north star blends a perfect combination of smooth vocals, live piano and acoustic guitar lines into an absolute stunner of a groove that feels built for long drives and sunset city nights. impossible to avoid head nodding with this one, it’s rhythm is incredible and the cherry on top is quality of the song itself; it’s fantastic and an immediate spotify follow for us at introvert disco.
santi forget is a Canadian and Peruvian Toronto born artist who’s exploring themes of identity and belonging across the track, celebrating toronto culture through vivid everyday details and a retro-inspired indie sound. the single release carries a strong sense of place while keeping its songwriting easy and timeless. our verdict? this slaps.
thank u for making this santi forget ✨
tired heart – remora beach
remora beach turns emotional exhaustion into a dreamlike indie folk banger of a single
tired heart wraps delicate harmonies and soft dream pop textures around deeply personal songwriting, balancing vulnerability with a warm and immersive atmosphere. there’s a touch of elbow’s best work to this single, but with a more american, guitar-y type vibe. best of all is the nursery rhyme-style verses that are beautifull expressed; proving the best melodies are often simplest.
los angeles artist remora beach draws influence from indie folk and dream pop while exploring themes of grief, empathy and recovery. created alongside producer roland faunte, the track feels intimate but carefully expansive, pushing the project into a more ambitious direction. with melodies like this, we’d expect remora beach to go far. memorable stuff, check it out below.
thank u for making this remora beach 🌊
