stoic – slim loris

slim loris turn personal loss into a danceable, synth-heavy indie rock stunner

stoic is a deeply personal indie-rock track built around big 80s-inspired synth weight, bright movement and an anthemic emotional core. it carries a sense of celebration inside grief, using danceable energy to honour someone loved without losing the intimacy of the feeling. the vocal is the standout here, it’s all hands in the air vibes in a wonderful 80s way. not to mention the driving bass and the huge synth chords. the ingredients work, but it’s the end product which definitely earns a place on your playlist.

slim loris are a four-piece indie rock band from stockholm, sweden, making music together since 2010. this release is dedicated to songwriter mattias’ father, who passed away last year, and stands as one of the band’s most honest and intimate moments. recorded in their rehearsal space, mixed at olga studion by pecka hammarstedt and mastered by erik holmberg, it feels pure, direct and built from shared history. great songs often come out of difficult moments, and slim loris have shared something beautiful here. a brilliant single.

everything – the lunar keys

the lunar keys turn modern panic into a widescreen alt-rock anthem

everything is a sharp alt-rock anthem built around restless adrenaline, big hooks and the pressure of wanting too much at once. the track wraps overstimulation in crowd-ready force, turning modern ambition, phone-lit anxiety and the feeling of heading for collapse into something immediate and explosive.

freind of the blog the lunar keys continue their run of large-scale, unity-driven rock songs with this second collaboration with grammy-winning producer and mix engineer brendan dekora. as with previous releases, the band are pairing noise with purpose, donating £1 for each of the first 250 reviews or airplays to shelter. the result feels both urgent and communal, made for big stages, raised voices and the shared release of letting pressure out.

aspesti bring teenage fury into raw, unfiltered finnish grunge
