broken promises layers moody synth textures, soft piano melodies, groovy verses before releasing into a absolutely huge emotional chorus. heartstrings are pulled, mainly by the brilliant vocal, which is definitely the standout part of this single. it's got all the hallmarks of a dark indie tune that should be all over the radio nationwide.
toronto artist sophie tex arrives with a debut single that feels both vulnerable and fully formed, blending atmospheric production with sharp songwriting instincts. her sound leans into darker pop influences while still keeping a warm emotional core throughout. this is definitely an artist that we can't wait to hear more from. a great single.

on vancouver island pushes bluesy acoustic guitar and rough-filtered vocals through repetitive rhythms that feel chaotic, hypnotic and emotionally direct all at once. it's got a lovely hint of sparklehorse, one of introvert disco's fave artists, particularly in the vocal production. early beck comes through a touch too, back when he was playing his acoustic a bit more. it's definitely in it's own lane though, and it's a lane we very much enjoy.
tcr! is travis cremer, a chicago resident who is leaning heavily into diy indie and post-punk influences across the track, exploring toxic relationship dynamics without softening the edges. taken from the upcoming ep dear rabbits, the release carries a lot of compelling chaos and we're a fan.

cherry wine mixes light acoustic arrangements and warm vocal harmonies into a colourful folk-inspired release that feels loose, melodic and instantly memorable. it's got a fantastic jaunty vibe; i love the lovely harmonies and when combined with the fun guitar solo, i'm sold. i've also never tried cherry wine, so i'm very curious now.
formed by musicians from across germany, ain’t no ducks blend country, folk and classic rock influences into something joyful and community-driven. inspired by werder’s blossom festival, the track turns romance and local folklore into a breezy indie singalong that we really love. it's great fun for springtime, and will have you bopping along in no time.

“tex moonlight returns with a wired indie punk stunner packed with strange and infectious energy”
ape shall not kill ape drives forward on mechanical drum loops, distorted guitars and spoken word vocals, creating a frantic mix of post-punk attitude and alt-pop weirdness. the snare is very front and centre, and i love the general boldness of production. it's got a zinger of a groove to it; but the vocals are the standout - it's not easy to go ambitious with vocals like this and make it sound so fantastic.
born in baltimore and now based in florida, tex moonlight reconnects with his punk and new wave roots across the release. the track pulls influence from vintage sci-fi, classic punk aesthetics and surreal humour while still carrying a sharp modern edge. it's a real banger, and i'll be digging into the rest of his stuff this weekend.
