fear – peter melodist
The verdict
“peter melodist announces himself with 'fear', a striking grunge-touched debut carrying emotional weight far beyond its thirteen-year-old creator”
'fear' opens with a slow-building intensity, piano and guitar working together before the whole thing cracks open into something heavier. there's a strong 90s influence running through the arrangement, grunge and indie rock sitting comfortably side by side, and peter's voice carries the weight of it without flinching. the lyrics dig into anxiety and uncertainty with a directness that lands, and the production gives everything room to breathe. for a debut single, it's remarkably assured, a confident first statement that makes you forget you're listening to someone who's barely a teenager. it's emotionally sharp and with bags of meaning.
peter melodist is a singer, pianist and guitarist from nowa wola, poland. he's been singing since he was four and playing piano since nine, building a following on youtube with cover songs before turning to original material. 'fear' is his debut single, with music and lyrics written entirely by him, and more tracks are on the way. . starting this young with material this strong is seriously exciting.
thank u for making this peter melodist 🎹
