all americans – trey bruce
The verdict
“trey bruce turns a 14-year-old song into a stunning alt-indie call for decency, all sparse and striking in equal measure”
'all americans' lands with clarity that only restraint can buy. released on september 11th, 2026, it's a reimagining of a song bruce wrote 14 years ago, stripped back and rebuilt with hip hop production sensibilities that keep the arrangement deliberately sparse. bruce handles bass, acoustic guitars and synths himself, with his daughter adding background vocals that give the track a lovely intimacy. the song paints vivid snapshots of american life, circling themes of community, fear, mistrust and the slow corrosion of sustained hatred. there's no ornamentation hiding the message here. the vocal is recorded beautifully; and it's a fantastic track.
trey bruce is a nashville songwriter with over three decades in the craft, an emmy winner and 15-time ascap award recipient with 10 number ones to his name. the path started in memphis, when his aunt handed a five-year-old a copy of meet the beatles. he grew up absorbing bowie, elton john, black sabbath and kris kristofferson, drove to nashville after springsteen's tunnel of love, and never looked back. for years his songs went to other voices first. now some of them are his to sing, and you can hear why he kept them. this one deserves to do well.

more than shame – arbor rose
The verdict
“arbor rose turns thirty years of unspoken truth into a brave indie pop anthem built for healing”
'more than shame' opens with a groove that feels carefully put together, like something precious finally unearthed. released on september 18th, 2026, this single arrives from a place of hard-won clarity, born from arbor rose's experience navigating narcissistic abuse and the grief of losing her mother. the production sits somewhere between indie pop and electronic pop, with a lovely dose of dream pop too, maybe? it's wonderfully atmospheric but with real momentum, and there's a touch of 90s alt in the way the chorus swells. what lands hardest is the emotional core: this is a song about choosing yourself, about refusing to carry shame that was never yours to hold. the campaign message, 'you are not what happened to you', runs through every beat. it's great.
arbor rose is a vancouver-based singer-songwriter building a catalogue around courage, healing and the slow work of finding your voice. her music blends cinematic indie textures with heartfelt storytelling, and there's a real warmth to how she invites listeners into difficult territory. 'more than shame' feels like a statement piece, a song that announces exactly who an artist is and what they're here to do. thirty years is a long time to carry something unspoken, and hearing it finally given shape like this is genuinely moving. we love this.
