DELETER STRIKE HARD WITH PITCHFORK

deleter deliver a stunning post-punk blast full of compelling, restless energy

pitchfork arrives swinging with all out jagged riffs, sharp rhythms, and the kind of ‘LETS GO!!’ urgency that refuses to sit still. there’s a lovely taste of unpredictability here, shifting from driving rock’n’roll verses into bass-less pre-chorus. or at least i think it’s the pre-chorus? anyway, we end up in a unexpectedly soulful, jazz-tinged choruses that is 90% post punk and 10% steely dan. let’s be clear, this could be absolutely awful. but it genuinely soars in a raw, restless, and completely committed way.

friend of the blog Deleter, based in manchester, have quickly carved out a distinctive place in the city’s underground scene. bringing together punk energy with left-field chord changes and intelligent songwriting, the band use pitchfork to explore the growing divide in modern society and the feeling of being trapped between increasingly polarised viewpoints. it’s great, and whoever’s twiddling the producer knobs on this one definitely knows their onions.

as a track, pitchfork feels bold, uncompromising, and refreshingly unpredictable. it challenges expectations both musically and lyrically, proving that some of the most exciting guitar music still comes from artists willing to take a risk. an essential track this summer.

thank u for making this deleter ⚡
