Today’s postbag has given an album lush with nostalgia, electronic sleight-of-hand, and soaked in a shadowy romance. Abyssal Ink (aka Fred Rosa) delivers a striking thirteen-track odyssey that’s honestly a bit of a vibe.
There’s something delightfully cinematic in the way this album moves. Bumper Cars channels the energy of early post-punk and goth pop (think Japan or The The) while adding a gleaming, modern finish.
It’s introspective but never inert, emotional but never overwrought.
thank u for making this abyssal ink x
