body – jenuel

The verdict

“jenuel's debut single 'body' is an irresistible slice of r&b-inflected summer pop with striking confidence”

'body' arrives with the ease of a track that knows exactly what it is. there's a dance-driven energy running through it, built on afrobeats rhythms and garage-inflected production that keeps everything moving without ever feeling rushed. jenuel chose this as his debut for a reason: it's feels very summery, and it all feels lovely and natural, that r&b warmth in the vocal, pop sensibility in the hooks. and enough sheer vibe underneath to reward repeated plays. it's a feel-good anthem that doubles as a statement of intent, and it lands with real confidence.

jenuel is a 19-year-old artist from orlando, florida, working out of his label's studio with influences ranging from juice wrld to bruno mars to justin bieber. he writes primarily from personal experience, though he keeps his creative perspective wide open. 'body' marks his first official single, and it's the first track where he felt he'd found his own sound. there's a direct, fearlessness to his approach. definitely one to watch.

mi gente y mi tierra panamá – erickoscar

The verdict

“erickoscar pours thirty-five years of longing into a stunning latin pop love letter glowing with homeland pride”

'mi gente y mi tierra panamá' opens with a melody that feels like a memory surfacing. the production leans into bright latin pop textures, layered with commercial vocal dance energy that just feels like the best party. lyrically, this is autobiography set to music: childhood scenes, the people who shaped him, the landscape he left behind but never stopped carrying. there's nothing ironic or distant about it. there's truth in every word, and the arrangement gives him space to do exactly that. the hook lands cleanly, built to stay with you. it's an earnest, heartfelt single that wears its love openly.

erickoscar is a cave springs, united states based artist who was born in panama and moved stateside thirty-five years ago. his father was a singer, and that early exposure to love songs and ballads shaped everything that followed. he's spent over three decades playing acoustic guitar with his worship band and has written more than twelve hundred songs in that time. and he's clearly on a run of form, with a few tracks exciting us recently. this one's our fave though, and we hope there's more coming soon.

thank u for making this erickoscar 🇵🇦
