rise are a liverpool four-piece continuing to refine a distinctive, polished sound rooted in melodic rock. recorded with a long-time collaborator, this release centres on themes of support and connection, reinforcing their focus on clarity, consistency and emotionally resonant songwriting. their best one yet, it’s a banger.

garden of the gods – sentinel events
sentinel events craft an art rock stunner that blends tension, texture and narrative depth
garden of the gods drives along in a lovely, quirky and kinda indie rock classic kinda way. it balances intricate guitar work, compelling vocal phrasing and the odd experimental texture. there’s a lot to love here, the great lyrics, the boy/vocals but it’s mainly just the melody which stands out. it’s fantastic, concise, and those two things are always a good combo.
sentinel events, an orlando-based alternative art rock project, use this track as part of a wider conceptual release exploring layered themes and satirical storytelling. built through a collaborative process with multiple contributors, it reflects a band pushing boundaries while maintaining a strong identity across an evolving body of work. check it out below, we love it.
