the older i get – arliston
arliston deliver a fragile and immersive indie moment that’s impossible to ignore
the older i get is stunning, atmospheric indie song that features soft piano, light percussion, and rich strings. the result gives you literally all the feels, and the raw energy, the vocal, amounts to something very special.
arliston, recording this version in peckham, revisit the track with a more human and open approach. the release marks a turning point, reflecting on ageing and shifting expectations while setting the tone for what comes next. one of the most beautiful things we’ve heard this year.

albert eno and frida bollani magoni serve up a brilliantly atmospheric indie moment centred on connection and vulnerability
stay unfolds carefully as a gentle, cinematic and piano-led piece, moving with emotional clarity through soft instrumentation and expressive vocals. it leads us somewhere very special, with the vocal arrangement genuinely lifting my mood after a long day. the chordal arrangement also deserves a special mention.

chris marksberry delivers a wonderfully charged indie banger with classic rock sensibility its core
bolt of lightning a guitar-led indie track with just the right amount of folk and blue. the groove has got this loose feel that means it rattles along wonderfully, while marksberry’s clear lyrical craft is the real highlight here.

jeremy parks crafts a stunningly heartfelt indie track rooted in memory and personal storytelling
love through the rear view (amy) is a lovely, warm and melodic indie release, blending acoustic textures with a steady, reflective pace. there’s a nod to the soft instrumentation of bon iver at times, but it’s definitely in it’s own lane; and the emotional core comes through really clearly.
