a funk-threaded soul banger that stays wonderfully human

this one just feels like a party. there’s a team vocal vibe that genuinely caught me off guard, like a kinda musical family celebration that i’d been invited to. it’s got a sincerity and sense of joy you don’t hear too much these days.

chris oledude is a new york based soul artist, puerto rican born, moving through funk, r&b and pop with a lifetime behind him. a friend of the blog too, which feels right because there’s familiarity in how he writes and sings, like he’s not trying to convince anyone. that feeling where someone has lived through the message instead of drafting it sits quietly in the middle of the track.

the groove on ‘rainbow soul‘ doesn’t rush. it’s built to carry voices, not overpower them. everything feels placed with care. we genuinely love it, and there’s a calm confidence here that i keep returning to. a genuinely great track.
