AKA PRIMETIME RISES IN “LIVING WITH GHOSTS”

a cinematic alt-pop reflection on loss, resilience, and reinvention

living with ghosts sees aka primetime (the project of uk guitarist, songwriter, and producer kelly appleton) step fully into her own light. blending lush indie-pop textures with soulful guitar lines and the haunting vocals of chloe foy, the track captures the delicate process of rebuilding after everything falls apart.

written and self-produced in her home studio and mixed by barny barnicott (arctic monkeys, the 1975) with mastering by john webber (air studios), the single balances vulnerability and groove in perfect harmony. its shimmering guitars and layered rhythms move between reflection and release, echoing the sound of someone learning to breathe again after loss.

inspired by st. vincent, christine and the queens, and warpaint, aka primetime transforms personal turmoil into alt-pop catharsis. her sound glows with honesty and movement – music that feels as much as it makes you move.

at its core, living with ghosts isn’t about haunting but healing – learning to live with the versions of ourselves we’ve outgrown, and finding grace in the in-between.

thank u for making this aka primetime 🌙
