‘yellowhammer’ by the trusted feels like staring at your screen too long and forgetting how to feel – until the chorus shakes you back into yourself. sharp, restless, and heavy in all the right places, it builds like a pressure wave and crashes just as hard.
southend-on-sea’s trusted have always written songs for crowds, but this one sounds like it was born from solitude. the production is incredible, tom cunningham’s vocal cuts through, and there’s a perfect blend of british post punk vibes too. there’s no neat resolution – just a hook that loops in your chest, even after the track ends.
this isn’t healing music. it’s haunted. and that’s why it hits. we love it.
thank u for making this the trusted ❤️
