‘too easy’ by the big happy feels like cracking open a mixtape made by your wildest friend – loud, heartfelt, chaotic, and somehow exactly what you needed. it’s an album that refuses to sit still, bouncing from funk to rap to rock to reggae without ever losing its soul.
born out of levittown and built by a band that clearly lives in this sound, too easy is both tribute and experiment. musically, the tracks move with purpose, sometimes punchy, sometimes hazy – the vocals bounce with joy and grief, especially knowing the title nods to a lost friend’s phrase. every moment feels made for the stage and for the headphones.
standout tracks include the stunning ‘the road’ which fizzes along with so much rap, rock, fun as fuck energy that it’s hard to not be punching the air. ‘twist and turn’ does a great job of delivering a serious message on the importance of resilience, and then sends us to heaven with a stunner of a guitar solo.
this stuff is not trying to be cool. it’s just being alive. and that might be the most honest thing of all. we love it.
thank u for making this the big happy ❤️
