SEEK WARMTH BALANCE THE STATIC WITH THE SINCERE

‘regular cares’, the new album by seek warmth feels like pacing circles at 2am. it’s a little frayed, noisy in all the right ways but still focused. it hums with tension and something tender underneath.

bristol-based and fiercely collaborative, the band tap into post-punk and noise rock foundations but thread them through jangly hooks and personal storytelling. half way through opener ‘half of happiness’, it’s clear that the lads certainly know how to make a big noise. but carefully tame it within a world of great songwriting, slightly angry lyrics and those lovely cosy winter jackets they’re wearing in their press shot.

standout tracks for us include ‘get it wrong’ which fizzes with post punk energy, stunning math-rock guitar interplay and a big hook, and ‘distortion’ that just straight up slaps. some of it brings to mind post-punk, derby-based legends Cable – a great thing in my book.

the debut album captures years of growth, mistakes, mess, and meaning. it’s incredibly accomplished, and deserves to be heard by a lot of people. we love it.

thank u for making this seek warmth ❤️
