‘some way of life’ by ian roland feels like reading an old letter in the rain.
soft and stained, but still holding everything carefully.
this brighton-based songwriter blends worn acoustic textures with gentle piano and brushed drums – a sound that walks with you, steady and slow, like the tide coming in. musically, there’s a poise to this song which we love, great production, and the vocal really carries a sense of both ache and grace, quiet but sure.
Ending with the lyrics ‘Must be some way of living, where we’re on the same side’, the new single gives a sense of hope, in a song that just feels like it’s been with you forever. this one doesn’t shout, it stays with you.
thank u for making this ian roland ❤️
