this remix of l’espiral spins sorrow into something cinematic and very very fucking danceable. this Nuovo Testamento remix brings elements of happy hardcore, tough tech house into something that’s generally sharper, darker, and made for movement.

based in los angeles, this alt-pop duo blend nu-wave nostalgia with velvet-edged club energy. and they’ve got quite the range. from dreamlike balladry, to explosive glitter rock to cathartic post-punk disco.

on this we’re very glad that they are firmly in introvert disco territory. the remix is pure cold-light glamour and pulsing chrome synths. it’s blondie caught in a post-punk dreamscape and we love it.

excitingly, it’s also part of a shimmering build-up to their interestingly titled debut album “squawk!” cried love. if it’s anything like this, we’ll be checking it out.
