peter daniel is a new name in our mysterious musical postbag, and this one moves like a sunday morning with the windows open. warm light, loose rhythm, and something hopeful in the air.

musically, we are right in the groove pocket with this one. it’s jazz with heart, undeniable groove and a fire that is undeniable. the playing is white hot and this must be a whole lot of fun to see live.

best of all, it’s great to hear jazz where the skill and craft doesn’t feel ego-filled, but amounting to something genuinely joyful. it’s music to connect to and damn, it feels good.
