there’s a simple message at the heart of ‘twist of fate’- and that’s what makes it hit so hard. tahani strips everything back until only the feeling remains: one voice, one story and a single choice.
written in the middle of a storm – abandonment, trauma, and the kind of hurt that stays with you – this track really calls on your attention. it’s soft, unfiltered and fragile. it sort of feels like tahini’s shared something they’ve been too scared to say out loud for a while.
you don’t need to know tahani’s story to feel this. but once you do – a father’s absence, a return, dementia, and his final days – you’ll realise “twist of fate” isn’t just about her. it’s about anyone who’s had to decide whether to forgive someone who doesn’t even remember the pain they caused.
recorded at home, tears in the vocal takes, no polish, no posing. it’s messy. it’s real. it’s really brave and we love it.
thank u for making this tahani x
