Intersection – Michellar

san francisco-based michellar takes a lovely step into new terrain on intersection, her first dip into americana folk. the track blends acoustic textures with a narrative full of light, tension, and quiet yearning.

written during a time of personal heaviness, intersection reaches toward something lighter. it’s a song about love at first sight – or the the hope of it. “i wanted to write a song that took me away from the sad realm i was in at the time,” michellar explains. “the story of love at first sight is one i’ve always believed in.”

recorded in staffordshire, uk, with producer tobias wilson (who also lent his voice to the track), the result is intimate and cinematic. banjo, guitar and delicate harmonies bring michellar’s vision vividly to life.

it’s the first time she’s written in this genre, and you can feel the fresh energy in it. we’ll definitely be keeping our ears open.

thank u for making this michellar x
