the first chords of this and i’m transported to a drizzly november evening in manchester. my fave songs usually deliver one clear thought, and tom leonard’s new banger is no exception. this is stunning wee slice of pure manny shoegaze indie, with a dash of the bunnymen and puressence in the mix.

best of all, tom’s not just got the sound, it’s actually a decent song. clarity is really great isn’t it, and it’s often hard fought for. tom’s captured it beautifully, and he’s got himself a new fan.
