There’s something instantly cinematic about this one from Swedish newcomer Matilda. “Superpowers” is a bit like the quiet part of a coming-of-age film — sort of after heartbreak, but just before the next chapter begins.

with gentle synths, soft drums and that kind of vocal that feels more like a conversation than a performance, it leans into all the best bits of melancholy pop. maybe a little bruised, but still with hope.

If Robyn and Lykke Li went for a rainy walk together, they’d probably end up humming this. basically, it’s got debut energy
