Ubiquity Machine – Angela

Angela isn’t the most rock n roll name. But finally there’s a banger been written about an Angela. Ubiquity Machine have added a cool, elegant melancholy to “Angela” that got under our skin immediately.

The DC-based outfit who clearly know their way around a dreamy synth – deliver a track that’s soaked in 80s nostalgia but still feels fresh. Think The Smiths if they traded the northern drizzle for neon lights and the odd velvet curtain.

However we describe it, i’m into it. There’s a slow sway to it, a gentleness that holds your attention. Also some of the vocals are weird, and I like weird vocals.

thanks for making this ubiquity machine x
