seattle’s la need machine drop a big-hearted, hopeful indie folk rock album here, and honestly, respect to any band that gets a whole album over the line – it’s an impressive feat.

there’s soaring harmonies, uplifting vibes, and a proper feeling of warmth all the way through.

album opener ‘our song’ is the pick of the bunch for me – transported me straight to an indie night with sticky floors and hearts on sleeves. ‘and we sang, we sang our song, and we danced it all night long’ is the hook of the month for me.

not trying to be cool, just doing their thing with real love behind it.
