this is a new name for me, but the journey this song goes on really caught my ears. it starts out as what you might expect from a low key anti-war folk song – guitars, plaintive vocals – but quickly moving into a more cinematic world, with poised strings adding to story. it really stands out.

folk usually goes on for bloody ages, but this makes it point elegantly and concisely all within the three minute mark. a stunning song.
