there’s a lovely primal stomp at the heart of this banger from 14 Flamingos. matched up with some spritely, optimistic ‘maybe the world’s gonna be okay’ brass and Nick Cave-style vocals, it leads to a song that’s full of character. i think this would slap live. it’s really nice to feature smaller acts on the blog, especially when – like 14 flamingos – they take you into a world you’ve not been in before. these guys have themselves a new fan.
