opening with a thoughtful guitar and the slinkiest of synth flourishes, earthstar grows into a smooth as butter eco-banger. im just thinking forest, waterfalls, flowers throughout, and hannah’s vocal tells the story with grace and style. she reminds me of emiliana torrini at times, but with sam evian on production credits you know we’re going somewhere a little groovier.

what might – on first pass – exist as a pleasant little number, reveals something far more memorable after several listens. this hits with the final vocal – ‘i think that i know you so well, you’ve changed, you’ve changed, you’ve changed’ – bringing an exciting end to the story that i immediately want to hear again.
